Donald Glenn Carr, 60, passed away June 5, 2017.  He was born in Franklin, VA the son of the late Charlie "Jack" Eugene Carr and Josephine Mae Rucco Carr.  He retired as a supervisor for International Paper.  He was a founding member of Elevate Church and was an integral part of the church.

Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jacqueline Whitley Carr; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy Carr Bryant (Adam); son and daughter-in-law, Thomas-Steele Carr (Haley); grandchildren, Braydon, Hudson, Brooklyn, Camden Bryant, and Elijah Carr; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Carr Harver (Duane); brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Carr (Vicki), David Carr (Sue), and Mark Carr; mother-in-law, Martha Whitley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda Whitley Wangerin (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Thomas-Steele Carr officiating.  A time of fellowship will follow the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be private for the family  at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elevate Church, earmarked for the Building Fund at 23486 Deerpath Trail, Windsor, VA 23487.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
