Judith "Judy" Ann Edwards Vail, 78, passed away September 22, 2012. She was born in Nansemond County the daughter of the late Inez Littrell Edwards and Reben Edwards. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Laurence Vail, Jr.; son, Herbert Laurence Vail, III, an infant son; and her sister, Jean E. Allgood. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the West Memorial Bible Class. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Vickie Jean Vail Collins; grandchildren, Stephen Craig Collins, Jr. and Angelann Jean Collins; brother, Reuben Edwards, Jr. and wife, Jeannie; and special friend, Laura Schloss Jones.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
