Obituary

Winnie Luella Adams Payne, 96, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.  She was born in Pineville, WV to the late Mary Etta Byrd and Robert Moses Adams.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Maynard Owen Payne Sr; daughter, Brenda C. Adams; and all 11 siblings.  She worked as a sales clerk for the Navy Exchange and was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church.

Winnie is survived by her son, Maynard O. Payne Jr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Virginia "Jenny" Reed, Wendy Payne Camamile (Cliff), Owen Payne III (Kelly), Autumn Payne Matkin (Nathaniel), Cameron Payne (Victoria), Brooke Payne; and 9 great grandchildren.
Winnie's funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, May 9, 2022 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Wilroy Baptist Church, 306 Williams Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. Post condolences on www.parrfuneralhome.com.
