Winfred Carter, 91, passed away November 16, 2023.  He was born in Gates County, NC the son of the late Ernest Wilson and Nellie Grace Carter Everett.  He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Susan Annette Reeves; and siblings, Mary Elizabeth Strouthers, Marie Henry, William "Tommy" Everett, James Everett, and Robert Earl Everett.  Winfred retired as a machine operator for Tidewater Blanching Company.  He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church

Winfred is survived by his children, Michael Carter, Evelyn Oliver, Tammy Carter, Wayne Carter (Sheila); grandchildren, John Faris Oliver, Jr. (Dinah), Michelle Jeanette Wolke (Joe), Megan Marie Oliver, Mark Allen Spivey, Jr. (Megan), Destiny Noel Windbush (Jeremis), and Angel Rose Davidson; great grandchildren, Georgia Grace Oliver, Shannon Michelle Wolke, and Caroline Carter Oliver; sister, Brenda Babb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
