Willie Webster Strickland, Jr., 71, passed away March 3, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Willie Webster Strickland, Sr. and Grace Warrington Strickland. He was also predeceased by his brother Robert Strickland. He retired as an auto salesman from Starr Motors after 25 years of service and having worked 40 years in the industry. Willie was a member of New Vision Worship Center and served as treasurer. He served in the National Guard for 19 years. Willie loved serving the Lord, being around people, loved his family and loved horses. He enjoyed cooking Boston butts at the church fundraisers with his dear friend David Newman and they always had a smile. Willie loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Willie is survived by his wife of 34 wonderful years, Cecelia W. Strickland; daughter, Michelle Gregory (Dennis); sons, Willie "Bubba" W. Strickland III, David Strickland, Daryl Strickland, Billy White (Charlene); grandchildren, MaKayla Gregory, D.J. Gregory, Colin White; sisters, Mary Miller (Burnley), Martha Barefoot and Elaine Moore; brother, Jimmy Strickland (Vicki) aunt, Ann Jackson; mother-in-law, Doris Wilkins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Richard Small, Shirley and Jesse Snead, Kandy and Denny Lewis; brothers-in-law, Charles Small and Sharon Fitzgerald, and Tommy Small; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Howard Small officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA, 23434. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
