William "Willy" Thomas Watts, III, 51, of Smithfield, VA passed away in his home December 16, 2012. He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of Shirley Twiddy Watts and William "Bill" Thomas Watts, Jr. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth McLain Watts. Willy was a member of Oakland Christian Church. He graduated from the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School and served 31 years as a machinist in the test lab.

Including his parents, Willy is survived by his daughter, Christina "Chrissy" L. Watts of Ivor; son, William Thomas Watts, IV of Smithfield; sister, Jean Watts Cowan and husband, Jim of Baton Rouge, LA.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Oakland Christian Church with Rev. Janet Weidler officiating.
