William Rodrick Stewart, 60, passed away February 11, 2013. He was born in Chesapeake, VA the son of the late Lorraine and Harrell Stewart. He was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam. William retired as the Shop 38 Refueling Supervisor at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141 and the Wayne County, NC Oddfellow's Alumni.

William is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean M. Stewart; daughter, Tammy L. Darden (Tim); son, Gerald W. Stewart (Nicole) all of Suffolk; grandchildren, Donald Eric, Tessa, Addison, Riley, Ayla, Gracie, and Ginna; sisters, Rachel Goodwin, Barbara Blevins, Sharon Snook, Joyce Biggs, and Donna Stewart; and brother, Elmer Stewart.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veteran Cemetery with Rev. Roger D. Johnson officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation Monday from 6-7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
