William Joseph Morgan, Sr., 78, passed away August 24, 2015. He was born in Logan, WV to the late Harry Compton Morgan and Margaret Ruth Sims. William was a retired Deputy Sherriff of the Roanoke County Sherriff's Department. He was a member of Portsmouth Church of Christ and the Police Association of Virginia. William was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserves.

William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edith Audrey Ashworth Morgan; son, William Joseph Morgan, Jr.; grandchildren, Jonathan Alexander Morgan, Nicholas Christian Morgan; sisters, Donna Jean Barham, Elizabeth June Crutcher; brother, Harold Eugene Morgan.
