William Warren Johnson, 72, of Suffolk, VA passed away April 16, 2014.  He was born in Nansemond County, VA to the late William E. and Nora Ashley Johnson.  He is also predeceased by his brother, Randolph M. Johnson and grandson, William B. Rose.  Warren was a US Army veteran and  worked as a substation electrician for Dominion Virginia Power.  He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and the Fellowship for Christ Sunday School Class.  Warren enjoyed fishing, gardening, and camping.

Warren is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah Vellines Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Penny J. and Troy Rose; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Michelle Johnson; nine grandchildren, Theresa, Zackary, Sarah, Kristal, Faith, Magan, Joseph, Ashley, and Nicole; two great grandchildren, Nilyaha and Gabriella; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie J. and Richard Wright; brother and sister-in-law, C. Bruce and Dare Johnson.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Rd., Zuni, Virginia, 23898 with Rev. Curt Faison officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
