William Arthur Humphrey, 56, a long time resident of Suffolk and Gates County, NC, passed away September 16, 2015. He was born in Nansemond County, VA to Shirley Turner Humphrey and the late Vance Hamilton Humphrey. William was a self-employed plumber.

William is survived by his mother; sisters, Joyce Byrd (Harold), Alice Payne (Lee), Carolyn Sue Humphrey; brother, Eddie Humphrey (Lucille); great aunt, Edith B. Wilkins, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 7-8 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA, 23434.
