William Thomas Hitt, 71, of Suffolk, VA , passed away November 28, 2011. He was born in Camden, WV the son of the late Robert Burton Hitt and Dolly Blanche Montgomery Hitt. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a welder.

William is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith George Hitt; brothers, Robert J. Hitt, John David Hitt, and Benjamin Lee Hitt; and 18 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434, with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating.
