William Thomas Harrell's Obituary
William Thomas Harrell, 84, passed away on April 13, 2022. He was born in Bertie Co, NC to the late Elva Vesta Bowen and William Leroy Harrell. He is also predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Ann King Harrell. He worked as a mechanic for many different companies and retired from Blair Bros. Inc. He was a man of great family values. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family, no matter the sacrifice. He always made sure his children had what they needed to help them along and succeed in life. His favorite pastime was definitely fishing, whether from a boat or on surf, and loved Hatteras, NC. Never was there a more kind, humble, and gentle soul.
William is survived by his children, Elizabeth Harrell Nelms, Garry Harrell, and Brian Harrell; grandchildren, JW (Renee), Bill (Teresa), Curtis, Savannah (CJ), Sarah (EJ), and Ashley; great grandchildren, Caraline, Thomas, Liv, and Reese; and sisters, Mary Matthews and Shirley Tendell.
William's service will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Sentara Hospice.
