Sr. Airman William "Bucky" Buchanan, 21, Minot, formerly of Ivor, VA, passed away February 16, 2018 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

William was born July 21, 1996, in Raleigh, North Carolina and joined the United States Air Force after high school to serve his country. William served as a Security Forces Specialist with the 91st Security Forces Group, 791st Missile Security Forces Squadron, at Minot AFB, ND. He had a passion for writing and wanted to be a Gaming Script Writer one day.

He is survived by his mother and father, Terri and Charles Buchanan, Ivor, VA; his sister, Gayle Buchanan, currently stationed in Petaluma, CA; his maternal grandparents, Ann Luthy and Richard Luthy of Newport, NC, paternal grandparents, Dave and Elaine Buchanan of Raleigh, NC; his aunts, Carol Luthy and Maureen Owens both of Seneca Falls, NY; his aunt, uncle, and cousins, Aimee, Bruce, Taylor, and Bryan Buchanan of Elkton, VA; cousins, Ben Bianchini of Bellefontaine, OH and Christine Smith of Raleigh, NC.

Will was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
