William "Bill" Braxton Nowell, 71, passed away January 6, 2018.  He was born in Rich Square, NC the son of the late Cecil Lee Nowell and Thelma Evans Nowell.  He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Lesner and brother, Cecil Richard Nowell.  Bill was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam.  He later went on to work over 25 years for Windsor Hardware.

Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nelda Bowden Nowell; daughter, Amy Dawson; son, William Steele Nowell; grandson, Caidain Alan Nichols; sisters, Diane Collier (Jimmy), and Marsha Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  A graveside service will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Albert G.
