William Monroe Anderson, 79, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 29, 2008. He was born in Ocoee, Florida the son of the late Georgia Mae and William Otis Anderson. He was a United States veteran having served in the Navy. William was the former owner of Anderson Bonding and founder of Anderson Self Storage.

William is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shelvia J. and Roy D. Ruth of Zuni, Va; sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall L. and Mary C. Anderson of Suffolk, VA, Stephen D. Anderson and Twilla K. Stover-Anderson of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Shannah Coe, Ashley C. Ruth-Brinkley, Yance D. Ruth; great granddaughter, Hailey Ellen Coe; sisters, Ila Mae Long of Suffolk, VA, Alice Hurley of Marion, IL, and Betty Rippy of Wilson, NC; and faithful canine companion, Rusty.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Ruffin Alphin officiating.
