Willard Dewey Sheppard, Jr. 95, passed away March 7, 2021.  He was born in Berkley Springs, WVA the son of the late William Dewey Sheppard and Nellie Russell Sherrod Sheppard.  Willard was a United States Navy veteran having retired as a Chief Petty Officer and served in WWII.  Shortly thereafter, he went on to work in civil service and retired as a rigger for the DNS Piers.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #0060 of West Virginia.

Willard is survived by his wife of 74 years, Virginia May Frock Sheppard; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Michael Frierdich, Cathy Gumtow; grandchildren, Jenny (Chad), Michelle (Chris), Will, Rebecca (Kevin); great grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Samuel, Benjamin, and Cindy; great great grandchild, Dallas; sister, Barbara; brother, Donald; numerous nieces and nephews.
