Willard Allen "Buddy" Doss, age 56, of Homosassa, FL, passed away May 22, 2022 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. Allen was born on March 20, 1966 in Virginia Beach, VA to Willard James and Janell Gail (Stafford) Doss. He was a retired Truck Driver from Suffolk, VA and moved to Citrus County in June of 2020 where he was the Director of Maintenance at the Citrus County YMCA.

In addition to his mother, Allen was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Simpkins.

Allen is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa Marie Doss; his father, Willard J Doss; one sister, Ann Simmons and her husband, Kenneth; nieces and nephews, Adam and Heather Simmons, Brian and Ashley Simmons, James and Christine Simpkins, Melissa Mack; brothers not by blood but by heart Tim Ackerman and Ed Schultz, as well as numerous extended family.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home, 3515 Robs Drive in Suffolk, Virginia, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m.

Allen was not a very formal person and didn't like having to dress up. The family has indicated that it is perfectly acceptable if you would like to attend in casual attire, in keeping with Allen's preferences.
