Wanda Sue Brinkley, 70, passed away May 1, 2024.  She was born in West Virginia the daughter of the late Samuel Ray and Opal Minnie Simpkins. Wanda is predeceased by her sisters, Judy Saunders, Karen Byrum, Alice Hyatt; and brother, Elliott Simpkins. Wanda was a member of Holland Baptist Church.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard Earl Brinkley; daughter, Angela R. Rodgers; grandson, Jackson Barmer (Miranda); sisters, Debbie L. Smith (Bret), Paula Frank (David); brother, Michael Simpkins (Susan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Holland Baptist Church, 6519 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23437 with Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
