Walter Herman Britt, III, 76, passed away September 4, 2018.  He was born in Richmond, VA the son of the late Walter "Piggy" H. Britt, II and Ruth James Moore.  He worked as a self-employed Commodity Broker.  Walter was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  He was a founding member of the Nansemond River Duck Club, an avid outdoorsman, and duck hunter.

Walter is survived by his wife, Linda J. Britt; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Mason Kincaid (Steve), Nancy Jordan Thiel (John), and Sarah Deschamps; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, James L. Moore (Linda), and Thomas J. Moore; and special cousins, Billy M. Mallory, Nancy T. Mathis, and Connie C. Day.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Thomas J.
