Vivian R. Karako, 77, of Suffolk, VA passed away March 16, 2012. She was born in Elizabethtown, NC to the late Bennie C. and Iola Cashwell Rich. She was the widow of Ronald C. Karako. Vivian was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church and the Beacons of Light Sunday school class, former choir member and very active in the church she loved. She retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Vivian is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald C. and Linda Karako of Martha's Vineyard,MA;Dennis P. Karako, Sr. and Darlene of Suffolk,VA; K. Randy Karako of Suffolk,VA; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Wilroy Baptist Church with Rev. Robert F. Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7-8 pm at Parr Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to Wilroy Baptist Church or Suffolk Meals on Wheels.
