Vivian Kathleen Griggs, 75, passed away February 7, 2016. She was born in Southampton County, VA the daughter of the late William Ashley Ellis and Dorothy Elizabeth Ellis. She was predeceased by her son, Peter C. Bach, and brother, Thomas J. Turner, Jr. She was a member of Open Door Church.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roland Dale Griggs; daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and Timothy K. Cornwell, sons and daughter-in-law, Michael T. Bach and Teresa Tomlin-Bach, Christopher W. Bach; grandchildren, Jonathan (Amanda), Brooke, Shawn, Rhett, Cooper, Kailie, Julie, and Rhyce; great grandchild, Jake; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Whitehead, Ann and Harvey Tew, Brenda and Thomas Boyce, Wanda and Steve Rountree; brother, David Turner.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tony Peaks officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland United Methodist Church.
