Virginia Johnson Crumpler, 90, passed away July 9, 2018. She was born in Sedley, VA the daughter of the late John "Johnny" Henry Johnson, Sr. and Lillian Blythe Johnson. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, John Robert Crumpler; her sister, Louise Johnson Wells; and her brother, John "Buddy" Henry Johnson, Jr. She was a member of South Quay Baptist Church and retired after 32 years as a school bus driver for Suffolk Public Schools.
Virginia is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda C. Pearce (George), Patricia C. Forrester (Art), and Cindy C. Clements (Dan); son and daughter-in-law, John R. Crumpler, II (Terri); grandchildren and their spouses, Denise A. Pearce, Davis O. Pearce (Rachel), Amy F. Willette (Luke), A. Carson Forrester (Leslie), Lisa C. Lucas, Dan S. Clements, Jr. (Stephanie), Jesse D. Clements (Helen), Derek A. Clements (Erika), J. Robert Crumpler, III (Erica); 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Thomas Crumpler; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
