Virginia Maud Cornell, 93, passed away September 30, 2014. She was born in Richmond, VA the daughter of the late Bernard Miller and Lennis Burnett Friedman. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph James Cornell, and brother, Bernard Miller. Virginia retired as the shop manager from Eleanor's Town & Country in Springfield, VA.

Virginia is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene R. and Kelly Simpson, Lindell and Ernest Church; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph N. and Penny Cornell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Rosalie Chisholm.

She was a special person, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. We are blessed to be her children.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your local animal shelter / rescue.
