Violet "Marie" Harrell Stovall, 78, passed away January 9, 2023.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Linwood Edward Harrell and Violet Maie Turner Harrell.  She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, George Allen Stovall, Sr. and brother, Linwood Junior Harrell.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Missionary Church.

Marie is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Ann and Rob Harrington, Donna Marie Williams; son and daughter-in-law, George Allen Stovall, Jr. and Nancy Stovall; grandchildren, Noah Harrington, Logan Harrington, Miranda Braswell, Casey Stovall, Paige Fail, Walker Stovall, Kellie Powers, Lindsay Powers, Joshua Powers, and Katie Glisson; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis Lee and Barbara Harrell; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Stephen Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery.  Friends may also join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
