Thurman Wolfe Knight, 91, passed away on December 18, 2008. A native of Nansemond County, VA he was the son of the later, Dempsey Knight and Ada Riddick Knight. He was also predeceased by this wife, Hulda K. Knight. Thurman was a Truck Driver for Saunders Supply and a lifetime member of Oakland Christian Church.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Janet K. and P. B. Piland; a son, Jack Charles Knight; six grandchildren, Lori White, Lisa Sexton, Angela Hannan, Craig Piland, Chuck Knight and Allison Mayo; twelve great grandchildren, Skylar, Leslie, Kelsey, Lance, Jackie, Julie, Barrett, Margo, Jack, Kade, Grace and Reagan.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Newman Memorial Cemetery (behind Oakland Christian Church), with Rev. Mark Burns officiating.
