Thomas "Tom" Jefferson Hyatt, Jr., 65, passed away November 11, 2020 after a valiant battle with brain cancer.  Born in Suffolk, VA, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Hyatt, Sr. and Ernestine Gardner Hyatt.  Tom retired as an electrician from Keurig - Dr. Pepper in July 2020 after more than 40 years in the profession.  He was a past deacon at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, and more recently he was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and the Andy Anderson Sunday School Class.  He was a Master Electrician and an expert in woodworking and home improvement projects.  He was a life long learner and problem solver and adeptly completed any task he put his mind to.  In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing numerous instruments.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda Banton Hyatt.  He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Morgan R. Hyatt; son, Thomas "Jeff" Jefferson Hyatt, III; grandchildren, Bonnie and Troy; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Rick Routten; and a host of other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service with masks and social distancing will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Micah Voight and Rev.
