Thomas Warren Becker, 65, of Suffolk, VA passed away December 30, 2008. He was born in Saginaw, MI the son of the late Marian T. and Leonard G. Becker. He was also predeceased by his sister and brother, Carolyn Gumm and Leonard Becker. Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam. He later went on to retire as a N.D.T. inspector for General Motors. He was a member of Union #699 and a former member of the American Legion in Michigan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen A. Becker of Suffolk; daughter and son-in-law, Lori L. and Tadpole Wilson of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, Bret T. and Ineke Becker of Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Zachary Dale Wilson and Karmin Catherine Rose Becker; sister, Patricia A. Nichols of Birch Run, MI; mother-in-law, Helen T. Franz; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Franz.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Robert Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery with military honors. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. and other times at the residence.
