Theo Vealan Thorne, 90, of Suffolk, VA passed away September 6, 2012. He was born in Surry County, VA the son of the late Mary Bowden Thorne and Luther Thorne. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Estelle Thorne; and his brother, Hugh Lee. Theo retired as a truck driver for Hodge Trucking Company.

Theo is survived by his daughter, Betty A. Billups of Irving, TX; son, Michael Lee Thorne of Elberon, VA; grandchild, Michelle Lynn Thorne-Nichols of Capron, VA; great grandchildren, Alexzandera, Priscilla, Adam, Breanna, Robert, and Sara Nichols;
sister, Frances Cornett of Smithfield, VA; brothers, George of Miami, FL; Marion of Houston, TX; grandson-in-law, Robert Mark Nichols; daughters-in-law, Barbara R. Thorne and Teresia Thorne.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Woodland United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating.
