Thelma Evans Nowell, 84, of Suffolk, VA passed away on August 23, 2011. A native of Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach, VA she was the daughter of the late Ralph Beauregard Evans and Mary Joyner Evans. She was also predeceased by her husband, Cecil Lee Nowell and her daughter, Deborah Lesner and her son, Cecil Richard Nowell. She was a member of Trinity Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Diane and Jimmy Collier of Conway, NC and Marsha Martin of Petersburg, VA; son and daughter-in-law, William B. and Nelda Sue Nowell of Windsor; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Goodwin and brother, Leslie Evans.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Byron McCreary officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
