Sylvia Barnes Bilby, 61, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 20, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Novella H. and Samuel M. Barnes. Sylvia was a Realtor and Broker for over 25 years, most recently with Keller Williams Realty. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church, the Suffolk Republican Women, and served as a team captain for Relay for Life. Over the years she enjoyed traveling especially to Europe and Israel.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry C. Bilby; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley B. Young (Jeffrey); son and daughter-in-law, Sean C. Bilby (Dana); grandchildren, Abigail, Phoebe, Aaron, Justus, and Eli; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Kimball (David), Winnie Robinson (Paul), and Debbie Story (Ken); brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam Barnes, Jr. (Lydia), Howard Barnes, and Bob Barnes (Karen).

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Alexander Baptist Church, 4316 Pamela Ct. Chesapeake, VA 23321. Burial will follow at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.
