Susie Mumford Copeland, 81, passed away September 4, 2014. She was born in Southampton County, VA the daughter of the late Sally M. and David Mumford, Sr. She was predeceased by her husband, Royce G. Copeland, Sr.

Susie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and John Rawls; sons and daughter-in-law, Royce G. Copeland, Jr., Mitchell Staley Copeland and Gina Copeland; grandchildren, John "Jay" Rawls, Jaclyn C. Haywood (Jeremy), Jeri Rawls, Nicholas Tangredi, and Preston Tangredi; 1 great grandchild and another on the way; sister, Edna M. Whitley; brothers, David M. Mumford, Jr., and Alfred S. Mumford; and numerous close nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Windsor Cemetery with Rev. Wayne T. Blythe officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation Friday night from 7- 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
