Susan Raye Pennington, 44, of Suffolk, VA, was born October 8, 1972 and passed away June 6, 2017. Susan was a loving mother of two children, Allyson R. Mapes and Danny "DJ" Mapes. She enjoyed helping others especially helping feed the homeless with Mercy Drops, a nonprofit organization. She enjoyed people and life with pure joy and a great big chuckle. She will be loved and missed by all of us.  She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph R. Pennington.

In addition to her children she is survived by her mother, Lillian W. Rowe; sister, Pamela L. Peterson; brother, R. Allen Pennington; and her best friends Missy and James Middleton.
