Susan Kay Herring Selby, 64, passed away February 4, 2022.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Edgar G. Herring and Iva Herring White.  She was predeceased by her husband, Dean Clements Selby; and brothers, Don Herring her twin and Eddie Herring.  Susan worked as the office manager at Senga Sheet Metal and was also a nurse at Obici Hospital.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Leslie Ann Selby Merritt (Shaylor); sons, Christopher Michael Selby and Joshua Hunter Selby; grandchildren, Shane and Lily; brother, Gene Herring; sister-in-law, Patricia B. Herring.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
