Sue Towe Hackney, 93, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born in Phil Campbell, AL to the late Bertha Rice and G. Carl Towe. She is also predeceased by her brother and sister in law, Thomas and Joyce Towe. She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Thomas Eugene "Gene" Hackney; daughters, Jean H. Lilly (Frank) and Debbie H. Lankford (Wayne); grandchildren, Edward F. "Ted" Lilly, Kristen Lankford Dietrich (Andrew), Laura Lilly Zasoski (Evan), Ryan W. Lankford (Emilie) and John Thomas "Tom" Lilly (Lucy); great grandchildren, Colette and Holden Dietrich, Dot and Teddy Zasoski, Rhoades and Robert Lilly; brother, Clyde M. Towe (Shirley); and several nieces and nephews.

Sue's funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 26, 2021 at Western Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Micah Voight officiating. Burial will follow at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. In memory of Sue, please donate to a charity of your choice or send flowers.
