Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Stanley A. Smith, age 85, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2025. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William and Elsie (Smith) Lewis. Stan served 26 years in the armed forces – both Navy and Army Reserves. Stan is survived by his wife of 11 years, L. Katherine 'Kathy' Smith; daughters, Nancy Waddy and Becky-joi Lahm; sons, Mark Smith (Deborah) and Matthew Smith (Rebecca); and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Ron Smith (Diane), Bill Smith, John Smith (Kathy), Betty Capps (Nathan Sr.) and Jack Smith. He was also survived by his beloved cat, Bella Rue.

Stan's funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastors John and Jack Smith officiating.
