Staley Hurley McClenny, 70, of Suffolk, VA passed away January 1, 2010. He was born in Southampton County, VA the son of the late Frank Hurley McClenny and Mary Fowler McClenny. He was predeceased by his son, David Lee McClenny. Staley retired as a welder from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 26. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God and the Adult Sunday School Class.

Staley is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Judy McClenny; daughter, Mary Anne McClenny-Jones; son, Mark Wayne McClenny; grandchild, David Earl Jones; brother, Frank Edward McClenny all of Suffolk, VA; sister, Anna-Lee Ball of NY.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 4, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may join the family for at time of visitation Sunday afternoon from 4-5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
