Obituary

Sidney Lee Kania, age 64, was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, Pop Pop, uncle, and friend. He passed away on November 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Sid is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Janice Kania, and their children: Michele (Billy) Taylor, Tammy (Shaun) Boswell, and Adam (Brittany) Kania. He was a proud grandfather to Clayton (Heather) Gray, Matthew Gray, Brian McClean, and Lincoln Kania, and a cherished great grandfather to Madilynn and Sophia Gray.

He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Kania, his sister, Sharon (Gary) Williams, and his nephews, Michael and Wesley Williams. Sidney was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kania.

He loved listening to good music, especially classic rock, and often spent hours relaxing with his favorite songs playing in the background. Music was a source of peace and happiness for Sid, and he enjoyed sharing his favorite tunes with family.

He was an avid sports fan who loved watching games from the comfort of his home. Sid also enjoyed several years coaching baseball at the Cypress Athletic Association, where he took pride in teaching kids how to play ball and encouraging them to love the game.

To all who knew him, Sid was a man who deeply loved his family and would do anything for them. His face lit up with joy whenever he saw his grandchildren, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to every room.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his generous heart, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.

A visitation with a time of remembrance for Sid will be from 6-8:00 pm, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association. Post condolences on parrfuneralhome.com.
