Shirley Moncure Worrell, 83, passed away April 24, 2018.  He was born in Northampton County, NC the son of the late Jesse M. and Gatha G. Worrell.  He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred C. Worrell and son, James Michael Worrell.  Shirley retired as a maintenance supervisor from Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Shirley is survived by his daughter, Sharon K. Worrell; granddaughter, Courtney Worrell; and sister, Elizabeth Jones.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
