Shirley Ann Turner Humphrey, 78, of Suffolk, VA passed away in her home February 9, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Suffolk, VA to the late William Robert Turner, Jr. and Alice Boyce Turner. Shirley is also predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Vance Humphrey; son, William Humphrey; and brother, Robert Turner. She was a homemaker and later worked as an Inspector at Birdsong Peanut Co. and at Hardees as a hostess. Shirley was a former resident of Corapeake, NC.

Shirley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Harold Byrd, Alice and Lee Payne, and Carolyn Sue Humphrey; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Lucille Humphrey; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
