Shirley P. Polson,75, passed away June 5, 2013. She was born in Franklin, VA the daughter of the late Martha Gaye Pippins and Roy Thomas Pippins, Sr. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Arthur L. Polson and son, Alan Polson.

Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Kinard of Suffolk; daughter-in-law, Beth Polson of Aulander, NC; grandchildren, Tara and Cody Kinard, Kelsi, Kierstyn, and Brandyn Polson; great grandchild, Wyatt Kinard; and brothers and sisters-in-law, William Pippins, Billy Pippins (Becky), Roy Pippins, Jr. (Sue).

A graveside service will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Saturday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at her residence.
