Shirley Russell Deans, 81, passed away February 19, 2018.  She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Russell and Ella Mae Holly Russell.  She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Willie Raynor Deans, and brothers, Vernon and Harvey Russell; and grandson, Frank Raynor Deans, Jr.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Deans Brinkley (Britt); sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth R. Deans, Frank Raynor Deans, Sr. (Amy), and Andrew Deans; grandchildren, Emma Brinkley, Russell Deans, Rachael Brinkley, Will Brinkley, Claudia Deans, and Zachary Brinkley; sister, Sarah Copeland; brother, Dalton Russell (Maureen); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Alan Cruz and Bishop James P. Council officiating.  Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.  Friends may join the family Wednesday night for a time of visitation from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .  The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Kindred and Kindred Hospice.
