Shirley Parker Bryant, 80, passed away May 5, 2020. She was born in Isle of Wight County. She was the daughter of the late Albert Staley Parker and Cleo Powell Parker. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Marshall Lee Bryant Jr. She was a member of Antioch Church in Windsor, Virginia.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Jo Ellen Blankenship (Jack) Kim Bryant, and Tracy Vick. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. Jason Blankenship (Amanda), and Jessica Rockwell (Chris), Michael Opauski, and Jennifer Peirce (Travis), Daniel Underwood, Chad Winslow, and Kasey Winslow She is also survived by two sisters, Paige Tomlin, Annette Peden (James) and one brother, Patrick Parker (Margie).

She had twelve great grandchildren, all of which will miss her very much.

Shirley was a hair dresser for over fifty years. Over these years she had many friends, and was a friend to so many. She will be missed greatly by so many people, and will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Shirley loved her garden every summer, and had one of the prettiest gardens in her neighborhood. She also harvested that garden, and took great pride in her canning ability of all the vegetables she had grown. One of her greatest joys in life was sitting on her screened porch and watching her beloved birds feed out of the numerous bird feeders she had in several trees. She loved the birds, but she had a passion for the Cardinals that came to dine at her feeders.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 44669 South Blvd.#103, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23452. Due to the Corona Virus the graveside service will be private for the family.
