Shirley Britt Branch, 76 of Suffolk, VA passed away on February 4,2008. A native of Roanoke Rapids, NC she was the daughter of the late Horace Britt and Doris Tippett Britt. Shirley was a retired clerk at A & P. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Tidewater Gospel Music Association.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clifton "C.R." Randolph Branch of Suffolk; a daughter, Sherri Branch Lilley of Suffolk; a son and daughter-in-law Michael Earl and Nancy C. Greene of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, M. Neil Greene, D. Nicole Lilley and Heather L. Russell and husband Brandon; a great granddaughter, Amanda M. Greene; a brother, William Britt of Rhode Island, and her pet pug, Sandy.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 209 Felton Road, Portsmouth, VA, with Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday evening, from 7 - 9 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk and other times at the residence.
