Shirley Tyrone Bracey died on July 31, 2009 of heart failure. He was born in Windsor on June 30, 1938, the tenth child of Clyde Alfred and Gladys Grant Bracey who preceded him in death. He was a member of Windsor Christian Church.

He will always be remembered by his bright smile, enduring spirit and loving heart.

Also preceding him in death, an infant daughter; his brothers, Clyde, Jr., Robert, and William; and his sisters, Frances Gray, Leona Jones, Evelyn Scott and infant, Judith.

He is survived by his son, Travis Bracey and wife, Ann of Windsor, VA; daughter, Susan Bracey and husband, Roylee Fish of Zuni, VA; grandsons, Tyler and Troy Bracey. Also surviving is his brother, Benjamin Bracey and his wife, Joyce of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Betty Richardson and her husband, Earl of Virginia Beach, VA, Janice Scott and her husband, Forrest of Smithfield, VA, Barbara Redd of Walters, VA, Glenda Carr and her husband, John of Windsor, VA.

Friends may join the family Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Antioch Church Cemetery, Windsor, VA. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad at P.O.
