Sherman Coy Hughson, 71 passed away April 1, 2020.  He was born in Colerain, NC the son of the late John Coy Hughson and Audrey Hobbs Hughson.  He was predeceased by his wife, Tempie Perry Hughson and son, Jarrod Marcus Hughson.  He retired as the owner and operator of the Lance Snacks Vending, Suffolk Territory.  He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church.  He was also a member of the Magnolia Ruritan Club where he served as a past President and Secretary.  He was a 40-year member of the Suffolk Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #685 where he served on the Home Committee and was honored with the "Elk of the Year" title.  He loved fishing and spending time with his friends.

Sherman is survived by his son, Jason Coy Hughson.
