Sherman Hite, 71, passed away January 6, 2016. He was born in Delbarton, WV the son of the late James G. Hite and Roxie H. Hite. He retired from the City of Suffolk after 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Sherman is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosalee Hill (Gene) of Red Jacket, WV, Ida Williams (Edward) of Sedley, VA, and Linda Vance (Jimmy) of Justice, WV; brothers, Donald Hite of South Hill, VA, Earl Hite of Varney, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; special friends, Margarita Warren and Ronnie Chittum. Sherman is predeceased by his brother, Homer Hite of Varney, WV.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Newcomb officiating.
