Sarah Lyndia Mathias Redd, 73, of Dunnsville, VA passed away February 3, 2017. She was born in Southampton Co, VA to the late Perry Odell Whitley, Sr. and Martha Ann Edwards Whitley. She is also predeceased by husbands, Ralph Edward Mathias, Sr., H.L. Jones and Rev. McGindley Adolphus Redd; daughter, Christine M. Turner; sisters, Letha Wilkins, Nell Williams, Joyce Morton and Jean Roberts.

Lyndia was the retired owner of Oakridge Family Hairstyles. She attended Southside Baptist Church and was a member and past Senior Regent of Suffolk Women of the Moose Chapter #1315. Lyndia is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward "Sonny" and Helen Mathias and Patrick Allen and Candi Mathias; five grandchildren, Bryan Turner, Whitley, Hannah, Patrick, Jr. and Alicia Marie Mathias; sister and husband, Ernestine W. Warren and Terry; brother and wife, Perry O. Whitley, Jr. and Doris.
