Sandra Ruth Bon of Portsmouth, VA was born Sandra Ruth Younger in 1934. At age 88, Sandra left to join Christ her Lord on November 10, 2022. Sandra was born and raised under the sunny skies of Los Angeles, CA in 1934 the oldest of three children. She had two siblings, Lolita Younger and Tom Meskell. Following graduation from High School in Long Beach, CA she married Robert Masters also of Long Beach, CA. They had three children together, Robert Masters Jr, Cheryl Masters, and Gerald Masters.

In 1962 she married George K. Bon, George in the U.S. Navy who she accompanied to South Carolina, Maryland and Norfolk, VA where they finally retired. They had one son, Zachary Bon. Over the years and around the country, Sandra was both a homemaker and worker. She held numerous jobs ranging from a Kindergarten teacher and secretary to a subsidized housing unit Manger. Sandra is survived by her oldest son, Robert Masters Jr, daughter, Cheryl Masters, son, Gerald Masters, and son, Zachary Bon. She is also survived by her sister, Lolita Waters and brother, Tom Meskell. Sandra was also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Grandchildren were Robert, Christian, Rachel, Kristen, Colin, Alex, Whitney, and Cole. Great grandchildren were Grant, Olivia, Sam, and Chris, all who will miss this woman. One of Sandra's personal gifts to her young grandchildren when parting from them was, "I so enjoyed being with you all and if it was the last time, remember what ET said. I'll be right there in your heart."

Sandra toiled through life and was known to others as an outgoing, opinionated, and strong woman. The one thing that she valued the most was that she raised her children to do their best in life and become productive citizens of society. To that end, she was indeed successful. Nothing pleased her more than to see her children and grandchildren live productive lives of their own. She was also a grandmother who enjoyed the youngest of those in the family and when called upon, she provided their parents with many hours of assistance in raising those children.
