For 30+ years Sandy worked as an Assoc. Insurance agent and notary public. She was a founding member of the Virginia Association of Notaries. Sandra Ames was a Notary Public in Pennsylvania for 24 years. In addition to general notarizations, Sandy was a seasoned certified Notary Signing Agent – completing well over 500 closings and an official agent for PennDOTs Department of Motor Vehicles. Having been a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN) throughout her tenure as a Notary, she gained an appreciation for the Associations' support, assistance and benefits. Sandy was secretary of the 7Mts. Young American Bowlers Association for many years. Bright & early every Saturday morning she would oversee 40-60 youth bowlers. Coaching & cheering them on! Over the years most of them referred to her as there "Bowling Mom" Now as adults she still keeps in touch with most of them.

Sandy (Nana) enjoyed cheering her grandkids on from the sidelines of the baseball, softball fields & basketball courts and slipping them fruit snacks when their parents weren't looking.
