Samuel Hurley Eure, Jr., 89, passed away June 4, 2022.  He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Samuel Hurley Eure, Sr. and Gertrude Ray Eure Babb.  He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Ann Harvell Eure; son, Dennis R. Eure; and sisters, Virginia Eure Kafka and Carol Eure Clark.  Sam was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War.  He later went on to work and then retired as a sheet metal mechanic for Newport News Shipbuilding.

Sam is survived by his daughters, Debra E. Keel (Bobby), Donna E. Banton (Wayne), Renée E. Harrell (Dwight); 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Jesse Ray Eure (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
